Many trails are still snowed in. We tried to get from Gable through to Boulder and were stopped by snow.
 Howe Savage open, Franklin to Gloucester open, and Knappen Gulch open.
 TBone to Tenderloin open and McFarlane open.
 Most of Morrissey, Gilpin and Stewart open. Trees to remove on Sand to Stewart. Interfor is working on the roads and is finished hauling down Gilpin. There is still some salvage logging. Waterbars are being installed on Morrissey Look..
We have not received our stewardship agreement from the Ministry, Rec Sites and Trails BC for the Rail Trail Cascade West to Fife. There have been two work parties on this section so far this season, removing rocks, trimming trees and doing outhouse repairs.
There was a Columbia Western Tipple Heritage Project meeting May 18 with all Fife residents living close to the project sight. All present thought the project would benefit the area by capturing history of the rail trail.
Please be safe when you’re on the trail and please put your best foot forward when on the rail trail. This is a very sensitive area for all users to share. If there is a problem, call! The new phone number is 1-877-952-7277 (RAPP) or #7277 on cellphones.
Great club ride on May 30. We traveled to McFarlane FSR via several other great trails. Hit snow around the 5000 foot level, especially on the north sides.
